Ready for 2007-2008 Yearbooks

Just a quick hello to say yes, we are still here, and that we're now ready to make yearbooks for the 2007-2008 academic year (though we still have 2 or 3 stragglers from the previous year yet to complete their yearbooks!).

We've been extremely busy in the last academic year, making yearbooks for over 60 schools, colleges, universities and other groups. And we've found the feedback to be amazing - just have a look at our testimonials page to see what we mean. It really does make us very happy :)

Online polls (awards) for members to vote on

We've just added a new feature to allow yearbooks to have polls (awards) for members to vote on. As always, we listen closely to our customers' desires and act accordingly.

Each yearbook can have unlimited polls for members to vote on. For example, a question may be 'Most likely to be Prime Minister' or 'Most eligible bachelor'. Editors of a yearbook can add numerous choices for members to select from.

Importantly, once a member has placed their vote, they can come back later to change their vote. This makes it possible for an editor to add new options later on, and for members to correct misplaced votes.

Editor-Only & Primary School Yearbooks

We've just added one of our most requested features - the ability for yearbook editors to add new members, rather than the members having to register an account and join the yearbook themselves.

This also makes it possible for a teacher or student to be the only person who uses the online service if they so wish, rather than everyone logging in and writing their own entries.

With this new feature, our service becomes more suitable to enter the primary school market where a teacher may not want their pupils using a website for privacy and security reasons (though we do offer many options in regards to privacy elsewhere as well).

Our Customers Love Us!

Our unique yearbook system is amazing - and now its not just us saying that.

For the 2005-2006 academic year our red-hot yearbook system was only just ready in time to catch a few stragglers in May. We nervously awaited all kinds of bugs and problems but came through with great results, far surpassing our estimates.

But as much as we can bang on about how our prices are unbeatable, our service is super-fast etc etc, it makes far more sense to hear it from our clients. So read their testimonials now.

New Feature - Yearbook Photo Gallery

Whilst schools, colleges and universites have been sleeping over the summer, we've been super-busy tweaking our online yearbook system to make it the best available, anywhere... ever!

Our latest new feature is a photo gallery for every yearbook. Members of a yearbook can simply upload a photo and its added to the yearbook home page. Members can also add comments to photos, and editors can delete distasteful ones.

But here's the best bit - once all the photos are uploaded, it will be possible to have them turned into photo collages for inclusion in your physical yearbooks. This can either be done by a yearbook committee or at no extra charge by AllYearbooks.co.uk staff.

New Feature - Suggest Answers To A Friend

We've just launched yet-another-new-feature to make yearbook making even more fun - suggesting answers. Anyone in a yearbook can suggest answers for other members in the yearbook, just as easily as they can write their own answers. It works like this:

  1. Liz suggests a biography for Steve
  2. Steve edits his yearbook entry and is notified that Liz has made a suggestion for his biography question
  3. Steve looks at Liz's suggestion and chooses whether or not to accept it, and perhaps edits it a bit too

This feature is immediately available to all existing and future clients.

Yearbook Prices Slashed

We've slashed our prices on all paperback and hardback yearbooks, bringing our already low prices to absolutely amazing market-beating prices. Check them out for yourself to see just how cheaply you can get a quality yearbook now. We've an option for every budget - making yearbooks truly affordable for all. Prices go as low as around £10 for physical books, and cheaper still for online-only yearbooks.

New Feature - Search

We've just launched a new search engine for our site, making it easier for you to find people, yearbooks and other content. Just type your keywords in the search box at the top right of the page and browse through the results.

We also take pride in having an extremely easy website for search engines such as Google to index. So if you're in an online yearbook with us and have selected that your yearbook is publicly accessible, then its quite likely that people will be able to find pages in your yearbook easily using Google.

Live Usability Testing

We're currently carrying out extensive usability testing to help improve our yearbook service. But we'd like as much of your feedback as possible too. If you think anything on the site can be done better; that you find something confusing; that something doesn't quite work as expected, then let us know.

You may find links, menus etc. on the site aren't where they were last time you looked - that's probably just us experimenting with more usable layouts. Again, do tell us if we've got it wrong.

New Feature - Preview All Pages as Images

This week sees yet another new feature - the ability to preview all pages within a book as images (jpg files), saving hefty PDF downloads.

For example, see pages within the demo yearbook here.

Many more features are planned to make our yearbook service better and better this summer.

As always, editors and members of a yearbook have various privacy options to choose from to ensure sensitive data can be kept private.
